Terms of Service

By accessing BiteCycle, users agree to use the service responsibly and only for lawful personal, circle, or permitted group food-collection purposes.

1. Service description

BiteCycle provides food records, collection tools, circle collaboration, shared food boards, ratings, recommendations, and AI-assisted analysis. Features may change, be limited by region, or require an account, device permission, network availability, or paid plan.

2. Accounts and responsibility

  • Users are responsible for the accuracy of account information and for maintaining control over their login methods and devices.
  • Invite links, shared collections, and circle content should be shared only with intended participants.
  • Users are responsible for content they upload, create, edit, or share through the service.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not use BiteCycle to harass others, upload unlawful content, infringe intellectual property, spread malware, bypass quotas, scrape the service, or interfere with service security.
  • Do not upload content that you do not have permission to use, including images, restaurant data, or personal information about another person.
  • Do not rely on BiteCycle for emergency, medical, allergy, clinical, or professional nutrition decisions.

4. User content and shared spaces

Users keep ownership of their own content. By submitting content, users grant BiteCycle the rights needed to host, store, process, display, analyze, and share that content as directed by the product features. Shared spaces may allow other participants to view, edit, react to, or copy content depending on permissions.

5. Paid plans and subscriptions

Paid features may be purchased through supported app stores or billing providers. Billing, cancellation, refunds, trials, tax handling, and renewal rules may be controlled by the relevant app store or payment provider. Entitlements may require network access and account synchronization.

6. Availability and termination

We may suspend or limit access to protect users, comply with law, investigate abuse, resolve security issues, or maintain the service. We may also discontinue features or change limits where reasonably necessary.

7. Disclaimers and liability

BiteCycle is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular professional purpose. Liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Membership, billing cycles, and changes

Basic and Premium membership plans support monthly and annual billing. Annual billing is a single payment for one year, not twelve monthly instalments. Available plans and transaction terms are determined by the local App Store price, currency, billing period, taxes, and applicable offer shown before purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled under the applicable store rules. Manage or cancel Apple-billed subscriptions in Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Cancelling renewal normally leaves access until the store-confirmed expiry date. Refunds, upgrades, downgrades, and cycle changes follow the store decision and effective date.

Purchases and restored purchases require verification and account synchronization. A temporary delay in membership confirmation is not a request to purchase again. Membership is determined by current valid entitlements; cancellation, refund, expiry, or transfer may change those entitlements.

Monthly and annual billing for the same tier use the same tier benefits and usage limits; annual purchase does not grant twelve times the recurring AI allowance at once. After a downgrade, saved circles and content are not automatically deleted solely because of the downgrade, but new actions remain subject to current limits and access permissions.

9. AI use and account closure

AI availability and usage limits depend on the current plan and service configuration. A model request consumes its applicable allowance before processing, and a failed attempt may count toward that allowance. Daily recommendations have a separate allowance. Do not use alternate accounts or altered request data to evade limits.

Deleting an account removes access and starts the applicable data deletion process described in the privacy policy. This does not automatically cancel a store subscription or create a refund. Statutory consumer rights are not excluded by these terms.
